I'm using 3/2.1 setup with my Sony receiver (STR-DH820). As normal, voice comes out the center and surround out the left/right front, sub is good too. Does anybody else have problems with AMC in surround sound?  When I have it set to that, I get a lot of audio dropouts.  This is for live and recorded TV.  Also, this is on the HD channel.  I have not tried non-HD.

I have a newer Motorola VIP2250 DVR. Love the higher capacity over the DVR. Because my Samsung flatscreen TV (5 years old or so) won't pass surround sound on, I rewired my surround sound system so that all video except the TV goes thru the Marantz receiver using HDMI. The UVerse box is connected to
